Fabulous 1920s style crushed velvet pump by Yves Saint Laurent. Probably made in the 1990s.
The lines of this shoe are beautiful with high throat and Louis the 14th heel. It has an almond shaped toe. Beautiful crushed velvet exterior and burnished gold leather lining. The sole is leather as well. Barely worn just once or twice.

The absolute BEST 1950s Peep-toe shoe!
Where to begin with the description? The leather is unique and beautiful. It has an embossed pattern which looks like lizard skin. The background is black and it has been rubbed with a metallic bronze which enhances the pattern. Very Rich! Above the open toe is a brown velvet bow embellished with wired copper glass beads. The 3 1/2" spike heel is comfortably angled so the weight of the body rests in the center of your heel. THIS means a much more comfortable shoe. All leather uppers and sole, kid and silk lined. The name inside reads Career Girl (Our idea of office wear has changed a bit eh?) The size says 8 1/2 narrow but I put them on and they certainly don't feel narrow to me. They are in wonderful vintage condition with just the slightest signs of wear. No scratches or damage of any kind.
