In the tradition of silver screen glamour....from Vanity Fair.
Silky accordion pleats and delicate lace make up these beautiful negligees from the 1980s. I acquired a lot of old stock lingerie and included were four of these beauties, all have their original Vanity Fair hangtags, one has a price tag as well....two are black and two beige. Fine lace defines a low decollete and cut away modified racing back. The armscyes are cut in a deep revealing curve that is sexy and flattering. The body of the gown flows over the bosom and to the floor in pleats all around. There are long shoestring ties in front that can be wrapped beneath the bust to tie in back (as shown) for a Grecian look.... or tie them in a pretty bow and let them fall loosely in front (see detail shots). The fabric is a silky jersey, Dacron/Nylon blend. This blend of fibers has a nice weight and no static cling.
Vanity Fair lingerie is one of the most coveted names in vintage intimate apparel. The one with the original price tag has it costing$75, over twenty years ago. These gowns would have been considered a true indulgence in their day.
Both beige pieces are sized petite.
There is one petite in black and one black in medium.
Petites can accommodate up to a 36" bust and measure 55-56" long from shoulder to hem
The one medium which comes in black and will allow up to a 40" bust and measures approx. 58" long from shoulder to hem.

From the same 1980s old stock collection as above we have three black Vanity Fair negligees in a slightly differing style. The theme is still silky pleats and lace but this style is cut with a lace bandeau across the bust and thin spaghetti straps over the shoulder. Lustrous accordion pleats cascade to the floor. The fabric is a silky jersey, Dacron/Nylon blend. This blend of fibers has a nice weight and no static cling.
I am fairly certain that they originally had some type of tie or sash for the waist but all were missing. Instead I am including a long satin ribbon with each to take it's place.

You WILL be the brightest flower at your next sleep-over Dazzling layers of orange and yellow chiffon make up this delightful peignoir set from the 1960's. The body of the jacket is a single layer of sheer orange, it falls just below the knee and is cut in a pouffed baby doll style. The rolled collar is done in two layers, orange and yellow. The short sleeves are three cascading layers orange,yellow and orange again. There is a pink satin rose at the center opening and long cords to tie it closed.
The sleeveless nightie is done in two sheer layers orange on top, yellow beneath. It too is cut in a baby doll style and has a pretty double rolled collar with narrow cords tied in a bow at the center.
The label inside reads Radcliffe and it is all nylon. The size says small but since it is so unstructured it will fit well into the medium range I would say up to a 36" bust. The length of the jacket from shoulder to hem is 38".

Old World Enchantment!
Pretty 1970s Vanity Fair Peignoir set in silky Antron 3 nylon. The fabric has a black background and is sprinkled with sprigs of "primitive" flowers. The flowers remind me some beautiful Pennsylvania Dutch motifs I have seen.
The outer coat has elbow length sleeves that are gathered and edged in black lace. It has a crossover front and the neckline is edged in black lace as well. There is a self fabric belt. The under gown is cut like a slip with lace insets defining the bust panels and spaghetti straps. The size is quite small, the label reads size 32. It will fit up to a 34" bust measurement. The length from shoulder to hem is 50" so if you are over 5'5" it will come above your ankle.
